Privacy Policy — LiD & Germany Citizenship Test
Effective date: October 3, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the mobile application LiD & Germany Citizenship Test (Android package name com.kanmazmustafa.einbuergerungstest, also available on the Apple App Store), hereinafter "the App". The App is published on Google Play and the App Store under the developer name LunorA and is operated by K-Core UG (haftungsbeschränkt).
We process personal data only in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and this privacy policy.
1. Controller (Responsible Party)
According to Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR, the controller for data processing in the App is:
K-Core UG (haftungsbeschränkt), developer name "LunorA"
Ritterhof 6, 38304 Wolfenbüttel, Germany
Managing Director: Mustafa Kanmaz
E-mail: bestberater@gmail.com
2. Data We Process
a) Account data
You can use the App as a guest or create an account with your e-mail address and password, with Google Sign-In or with Sign in with Apple. We then process your e-mail address, a unique user ID and the sign-in method. Passwords are handled exclusively by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store them. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your e-mail address, we only receive Apple's relay address.
b) Device data
When you sign in, we store a device identifier, the device name (e.g. the model), the time of the last sign-in and your chosen app language. An account can be used on up to three devices; we use this data to enforce that limit and to let you remove devices.
c) Learning progress
If you are signed in, your learning progress (e.g. answered questions and test results) is stored in your account so it can be synchronised across your devices. Without an account, progress is stored only locally on your device.
d) Purchases
Premium features are purchased through Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Google or Apple; we never receive your payment details. We only store whether your account has premium access.
e) Feedback
If you send us feedback from within the App, we store your message, your user ID, your e-mail address (if available) and basic device information (device model and operating system version) so we can respond and fix problems.
f) Advertising
The free version of the App shows ads via Google AdMob. Google may process your device's advertising ID, IP address and device information to deliver and measure ads and, where you have consented, to personalise them. You can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings. Premium users do not see ads.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
- Providing the App, your account, progress sync and premium access: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
- Device limit, security and abuse prevention: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting the service).
- Handling feedback: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving the App), or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns your account.
- Personalised advertising: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent), which you can withdraw at any time. Non-personalised ads are based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (financing the free version).
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for automated decision-making.
4. Service Providers
We use the following providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore): Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC. https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google Sign-In: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Sign in with Apple: Apple Inc. https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Google AdMob: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase: subject to the privacy policies of Google and Apple.
Some of these providers may process data in the United States. Such transfers are based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
5. Retention
Account, device and progress data are stored for as long as your account exists and are deleted when you delete your account. Feedback messages are deleted when they are no longer needed to handle your request, and at the latest together with your account. Data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the App.
6. Deleting Your Account and Data
You can delete your account at any time directly in the App via the menu option "Delete Account". This permanently deletes your account together with your stored device data and learning progress.
If you no longer have access to the App, you can request deletion by e-mail to bestberater@gmail.com from the e-mail address linked to your account, with the subject "Account deletion – LiD & Germany Citizenship Test". We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days and confirm the deletion.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data (Art. 15)
- rectification (Art. 16) and erasure (Art. 17)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
- withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))
To exercise these rights, contact us at bestberater@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen).
8. Children
The App is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
All data is transmitted in encrypted form (TLS) and stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which applies encryption at rest and access controls. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy when the App or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page; the effective date is shown at the top.
